Do you have a showroom where we can view your designs? 

Yes! We would love to have you at our Headquarters to view our gorgeous range of furniture. If attending our retail showroom is not feasible The Cullin Design has you covered. We offer a complimentary ‘in home’ consultation consult or ‘e-consult’ service to assist with your needs.

 Where is The Cullin Design Furniture Manufactured? 

The Cullin Design is proudly Australian made. Located on the Mornington Peninsula, Somerville. Everything from in house design by Founding Director Sheree Cullin, to timber furniture frames, cushion inserts and upholstery. By purchasing Australian Made you can be confident that your product has been built with quality craftsmanship to last a lifetime. 

Does The Cullin Design offer warranty on pieces purchased? 

1.0 A five year structural warranty applies to workmanship commencing from date of purchase. Excludes damage as a result of misuse or neglect or accident or damage incurred secondary to general wear and tear. Please note: excludes fabric and leather as covered in 1.1 

1.1 Fabric sourced by The Cullin Design includes individual warranty from specified fabric house used for upholstery of your piece of furniture. You can view the link here to review your external fabric house warranty

1.2 Structural imperfections and defects must be notified via email askus@thecullindesign.com.au within a 14 day period from installation. 

Please note natural imperfections directly related to the structural and fabric material chosen for your piece of furniture is not covered by warranty. Although The Cullin Design source our timber from the most reputable suppliers of premium grade, it is paramount that you our customer are aware of the natural variation in timber from one board to the next that include: ~ Tone: resulting in light and dark shades. ~ Grain: as timber is an organic material, the visibility of features are classified into ‘Timber Grading’ as per the Australian Standard, AS 2796.2-2006. The Cullin Design source Select Grade Timber unless otherwise specified ~ Exposure to UV light: over time different types of timber may alter in colour taking on a more amber tone

How do I choose my fabric? 

1.0 The Cullin Design source and supply an extensive range of fabric and leather options from a variety of premium fabric houses across the globe. To view our suppliers and their individual warranty click the link below.

1.1 Fabric not currently stocked at The Cullin Design? We leave no stone unturned! Simply share an image or details of a particular fabric or fabric house you wish to have upholstered The Cullin Design source for your projects and we will take care of the hard work. 

1.2 Supply your own? The Cullin Design is more than happy for you to supply your own fabric of choice. We will assist in providing you accurate meterage that you will require for your piece and this will include consideration of pattern matching and railroaded fabrics. 

1.3 How do I care and clean the fabric on my upholstered piece of furniture? Each and every fabric comes with its own set of care guidelines that are produced in accordance with the individual fabric house methods that have been tried and tested. What are the standard sizes of the signature ‘The Cullin Design' Furniture Range? 

1.0 We know first hand the importance of spatial awareness of the space in your home that you wish to place your piece of furniture. By clicking on the link below, you can access diagram drawings of individual pieces that includes measurements in HEIGHT (H), WIDTH (W), DEPTH (D) and DIAMETER (D) where indicated.

1.1 ‘In home’ and ‘e-consult’: The Cullin Design ensure accurate dimensions of the space/s you wish to feature our furniture by reviewing current floor plans and or attending for in home check measure. When required we can also provide a scheduled ‘face time’ meeting to assist you in correct measurement of your space. 

1.2 New Build and Renovations: The Cullin Design can review floor plan and elevation drawings of your project to assist you with furniture choices and customised designs to best compliment your home. 

What type of Beds do you sell: 

1.0 ‘Freestanding bedheads’ Can be stand alone or placed in between bed base and wall to secure position. Where requested a freestanding bedhead can be secured to the rear wall with use of a split batten. 

1.1 Ensemble beds 

~ ‘Bed base SERIES 1’ a cohesive visual aesthetic includes bedhead mounted with commercially graded brackets and raised with timber scans legs in your choice of timber polished stain. Standard inset to allow for mattress to sit within the upholstered bed base. NB: This can be altered to factor a greater mattress depth at time of consult to ensure correct allowances are factored prior to manufacturing of your bed base. 

~ ‘Bed base SERIES 2’ a cohesive visual aesthetic includes bedhead mounted with commercially graded brackets and hidden feet to give your bed a floating appearance 

1.2 ‘Bed base SERIES 3’ fully upholstered external with laminated internal easy glide draw system, can be integrated with your choice of bedhead to compliment 

1.3 ‘Bed base SERIES 4’ fully upholstered bed base with invisible inbuilt trundle, can be integrated with your choice of bedhead to compliment 

1.4 ‘Bed base SERIES 5’ fully upholstered bed base with gas strut system integrated for an abundance of hidden storage with your choice of bedhead to compliment 

Do you Reupholster furniture at The Cullin Design? 

Absolutely! Our passion for upholstery in all its forms means we love to take on a project of transforming your much loved and enjoyed piece of furniture back to life for you to enjoy for years to come. We take great pride in your restoration and welcome your enquiry to provide you with a custom quote for that heirloom piece or simply the family favourite. 

Do you manufacture banquette seating? 

1.0 The Cullin Design are experts in utilising banquette seating in both residential and commercial spaces. 

1.1 Residential: ~ standard bench seat banquette ~ window seating ~ breakfast nook ~ gas strut banquette seat ~ pull to open draw banquette seat 

1.2 Commercial: Our banquette seats are frequently installed in restaurants and retail locations across Victoria. Each individually customised to your project brief and specification

What are the Terms and Conditions for Payment and Delivery of my furniture? 

1.0 PAYMENT: Once you confirm your quote The Cullin Design will raise a purchase order (PO) which you will receive in the form of an invoice. 

The standard T&C’s apply for payment schedule: 

  • Acceptance of quote = 50% deposit, order processed for manufacture 
  • Once fabrication is complete, you will be emailed with a delivery date 
  • Final 50% balance remaining is then due and remittance to be forwarded to askus@thecullindesign.com.au 

Please note: Final balance funds must be cleared prior to release for delivery. 

1.1 PAYMENT FACILITIES: The Cullin Design accept following payment options 

  • TYRO: Mastercard and Visa, paypal and BPAY® 

1.2 DELIVERY: 

  • Standard items are delivered Mon-Fri with our preferred freight companies. At the time of dispatch you will receive an automated email from The Cullin Design, advising of delivery company and tracking number. 
  • Melbourne Metro and The Mornington Peninsula orders for large item furniture pieces are delivered on either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday by The Cullin Design Delivery team. You will be notified via email, and provided a 4 hour time frame of when you should expect your delivery. 
  • Melbourne Metro and The Mornington Peninsula orders for Bed and Bases are installed by The Cullin Design Delivery team. 

1.3 INTERSTATE FREIGHT: The Cullin Design furniture is delivered Australia wide 

  • All interstate enquires require freight to be quoted on a case by case status
